EVENT PLANNING TIP: SET A REALISTIC BUDGET
Before booking a venue, choosing decorations, or hiring vendors, decide how much you are comfortable spending on the entire event. Your budget should guide every decision you make.
One common mistake is spending a large portion of the budget on a beautiful venue and then having very little money left for food, entertainment, décor, photography, or other important details. On the other hand, spending most of the budget on food may leave limited funds for the venue, decorations, and the overall atmosphere.
Do not book the venue simply because it is beautiful. First, make sure the cost leaves enough room in your budget for the complete event.
A beautiful venue is important, but guests will also remember the food, atmosphere, entertainment, hospitality, and how the event made them feel. The best event is not necessarily the one that costs the most—it is the one that is well planned, organized, and balanced.
