Have you heard of a doodle grid? Paint work on the “Nebraska City’s Story” mural gets officially underway tomorrow, but first… doodles! Artist Katie Dia and her helpers used this common artistic technique as a way to scale the original drawing onto the expanse of the building.

Here’s how you can keep up to date on the progress of the mural:
1. Watch this space! We’ll likely post daily while work is going on.
2. Drive by the site at 11th & Central (responsibly, people, responsibly)
3. Attend the Ribbon Cutting tomorrow (Monday, June 15) at 11 a.m.

We had a blast at the American History Trivia Event! Eight teams participated - the winners were “Revere’s Raiders” from Calvary Community Church! The teams enjoyed the fun mini games sprinkled throughout the afternoon, including a paper airplane throw (see picture). Thanks to the Nebraska City Jaycees for sponsoring and the First United Methodist Church - Nebraska City for hosting.
