AND IF it’s a little boy, he can go in the women’s rest room too! It is safer! Simple.

If a dad needs to take his daughter to the restroom, the women’s restroom is exactly where they should go.

Knock on the door. Announce yourself.

“Girl dad coming in with my daughter.”

Give anyone a chance to exit if they’re uncomfortable, then take care of your child.

A little girl shouldn’t have to walk into a men’s restroom because adults are worried about what strangers might think.

The goal isn’t to make everyone comfortable.

The goal is to keep your child safe.

And the child goes where the parent can safely supervise them.

I’ve recently had a lot more tough days than ones that felt easy. It has been a season of stretching and growing and it’s not always comfortable. But, some days, I just close my eyes and take a deep breath and say “you’ve got this.” I don’t think we talk enough about the days where we have to just muscle through. I think there’s this idea that we have to be “thriving” all the time or else something is wrong but I think there’s something powerful about also recognizing that sometimes things are just hard and we find strength to keep going for the beautiful days. You’ve got this, friends. 💙💕
