A few years ago, I was at a mountain biking clinic, and a rider in our group went down hard on a rock feature.

I went through my WFA training and got her sitting, checked her pulse, assessed her, bandaged her up, and walked her out.

She was fine, and I was totally calm because of my training.

One year ago today, we gathered for Jammin in the Woods, and it became my favorite event I've ever hosted. Old-time music, fresh air, a group of women who showed up with instruments and openness to doing something new. I think about that weekend all the time.

A lot has changed since then. Laura, my good friend and co-founder, has officially stepped away from Hoosier Adventure to follow her own path. I'm so grateful for everything we built together and for the years she poured into this. Hoosier Adventure is what it is because of her.

And now Hoosier Adventure is officially mine. I've been sitting with what that means.

Honestly? I'm really excited. I'm growing Hoosier Adventure into something that's been forming in me for a while now: seasonal gatherings for women who want to slow down and make something with their hands. Watercolor retreats. Creative workshops. Old-time music weekends. Wilderness skills. Rooted in Indiana, rooted in art, rooted in the kind of community that forms when women gather with intention.

I have a lot of ideas and I can't wait to share them. More soon. I'm so glad you're here for this next chapter.
