Brand storyteller living the science and voodoo of commerce/creative intersectionality. Creative visionary Lucas Leverett has been a frequent steward of household brand names in his native Nashville, prior to relocating to Grand Rapids, MI. He is a cultivator of successful creative and marketing teams – crafting and advancing brand experiences for over twenty years through collaborative, growth-fo

cused achievements. His background in both B2B and B2C markets encompasses design, technological and business proficiency, spanning the marketing, advertising and creative landscape. Lucas champions award-winning collaborations and project successes with nimble strategy, imagination, determination, intuition and limitless creativity. By force of will, he forwards ideas big and small toward bold goals – with an affinity for fruitfully audacious disruptions to the status quo. True to his Music City roots, Mr. Leverett lives a handful of lives: from his professional work to his spare time – conjuring up events filled with superheroes, spacemen and zombies. An outspoken “smash-mouth politico” when needed, Lucas maintains an open heart for common threads of community ideals and a preference for fraternity over tribalism when stubborn extremes will allow. Leverett takes pride in speaking truth to power with verbal dynamism, but is always eager to do the less flashy work of local committees and projects. Where the professional and political intersect, he takes pride a body of work for clients in local politics, from a lengthy history of Nashville-area clients and campaigns to a growing portfolio in Grand Rapids. Lucas Leverett is a capable and formidable operator in the public arena.

They would tell all of us to get in line. Time for them to do the same. Abdul isn’t more likely to lose, he’s reasonably likely to win—and that horrifies the stodgy business-as-usual establishment. Their cold, clammy grip on control and the security of their relationships with those who have used them for dishonest gains for far too long as both slipping. And it’s about time.

Complaining that primary voters picked the candidate more likely to lose on Election Day has become a face-saving tactic for moderates as they’ve watched their preferred picks lose against upstart insurgent campaigns like El-Sayed’s. El-Sayed’s detractors have powerful friends. The biggest money targeting El-Sayed comes from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, which has already spent over $100 million on midterm races around the country, including more than $30 million directly boosting Stevens against El-Sayed.

Now that El-Sayed is the party’s nominee, Stevens’s supporters, both in Michigan and nationally, will have to decide if they want a progressive Muslim in the Senate for six years or to risk continued GOP control. If they’re really worried about the outcome and truly committed to Democratic success in November, they’ll set aside whatever issues they have with El-Sayed and go all-in on his candidacy.

Welcome... to all those establishment Democrats (and Michigan Democratic Party and Kent County Democratic Party), insiders, dirty-dealers and mudslingers, wishy-washy endorsers, Haley Stevens and Skaggs loyalists, and everyone else who has been spending the last couple of months preaching about "lining up" behind nominees with a dismissive aire toward Progressive movements.

Welcome to the line. It is my great pleasure to exercise some West Michigan Nice™ this morning and politely allow you to get right up to the front.

Please. I insist.

Tonight, we are seeing what the power of The People can truly do.

The establishment lost big. AIPAC lost big. The People won.

Good morning, Michigan! It's a great day to vote against Haley Stevens and, more importantly, vote for Abdul El-Sayed! 🗳️

Haley Stevens manipulated and misled a local business. She put Pux Taphouse GR in a horrible situation, and they have been incredibly honorable in addressing it with transparency, and quickly.

And now you, the voter, have to ask yourself: if she will pull this sort of lying and conniving stunt, throwing a small West Michigan business under the bus, how quickly would she sell you and your family out? Your loved ones? Your friends?

Vote Abdul El-Sayed tomorrow and send this kind of weasel packing.

When Pux was approached to book this event, we were only told it would be a private women’s Dem event. Pux was never advised that Haley Stevens would be connected with this event. We are heartbroken as we pride ourselves on being not only a q***r friendly space but also have advocated and continue to call for a free Palestine. We DO NOT endorse Haley Stevens. Our promise to our community is that in the future we will be more vigilant in requesting specific details for private events in the future. We apologize most sincerely and will be donating the proceeds tonight to the Grand Rapids Pride Center.

It is very on-brand for Phil Skaggs to flippantly tokenize and involuntarily leverage people for identity politics and his fake Progressive facade. It is even more on-brand for him to ignore this misstep and do nothing to make it right.

Tomorrow, on election day, if you have Phil on the ballot in your district, you can send him a clear message that his time—an age of this kind of entitlement and exploitation—has ended. Vote for Abbie Groff-Blaszak.

After Abdul El-Sayed thoroughly trounced Haley Stevens in their final debate, The Young Turks roasted her very well. If you missed it, you really should check it out, and pass it along to everyone you know as they get out to vote today or Tuesday.

Time to send this AIPAC puppet packing.
