Happy Monday everyone! Lets get this week started with a good ole blues ballad by the one and only Freddy Fender.
Freddy penned and recorded his first chart topper in 1959, labeling it "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights." Soon after his initial success he was convicted of Ma*****na possession and sentenced to prison. After serving 3 years of hard time, with the governor's intervention, Freddy was released from prison. The one stipulation to his parole was that he was not allowed to play music anywhere that served alcohol. I wonder how that turned out. 🤔
