I wanted to post a quick update. Because of you I was able to pay my past due balance at IBH (Integrated Behavioral Health) of Muscle Shoals and schedule an appointment for next Wednesday morning.

Also, later on next Wednesday afternoon, I have an appointment at Clearview Cancer Center. Really good news about Clearview is that they instructed me of what documents I needed to bring in order to apply for patient assistance. The good faith estimate of one self-pay visit was $372.00. I want to say thank you again because all of this may not mean much to a lot of people but for me every step forward is making the burden lighter. God's word tells us to share one another's burdens and and you have done that. And praise God, one day I'm going to get to help others with their burdens.

Thank you all so much for your love and support.

I have always had a giving heart. I remember years ago when I would see a homeless person or someone simply holding a sign saying they needed help. I had a battle going on in my mind. I would ask myself what are they going to do with what I give them? Do they really need it? Are they on drugs? Are they buying ci******es? What ever the case may be, Jesus healed me in that area through his word. Now when I give, yes I give to the ones in need but in doing so I am also giving to Jesus.
Matthew 25
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Crisis Fundraiser - Please Share 🙏

As many of you know, I (Josey Trawick) am undergoing treatment for the following medical conditions.

1. Leukemia ( Chronic Myelogenous ) Chemo Daily
2. Meniere's Disease -Vertigo, Poor balance, tinnitus
3. Ocular Histoplasmosis - Blindness in both eyes
4. PTSD Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
5. Major depressive disorder
6. Generalized Anxiety Disorder

God tells us to let our requests be made known so here we go. I did not want to make this post but I have to put my pride aside and take care of my family. How is the body of Christ going to do what God told them to do if they don't know we have needs.

I have no income and I have been denied Social Security Disability many times. I am currently working with AIDB, Easter Seals, and the North Alabama Rehabilitation Center in Muscle Shoals to either get me back into the workforce or they may even deem me unfit for work which will help with my Social security claim. I need to find out whether or not I can work. With all the conditions I have I don't want to be a liability to an employer or myself.

After closing Shoals game room I wasn't sure what I was going to do for my next job. I opened the game room because it was something that I could do and if I was experiencing symptoms that kept me from working I could just adjust hours without the fear of being fired. The game room really was a blessing to many people including myself.

My wife left the marital home March 13th of this year and has not been back. We are going through a divorce.

My wife of 10 years left me with all of these medical conditions. I feel I was abandoned at home to fend for myself. I have zero income and I have a mortgage (In forbearance), utilities, car insurance, gas, groceries medical bills, medicines etc...

I have two daughters one 20 years old and the other 7 years old. Daddy is supposed to be able to take care of his babies.

I also do not have medical insurance to go to the cancer center, the retina specialist, or my mental health provider.

Y'all this has been the hardest thing that I've ever went through.

I'm so thankful for the food that was donated to me from the Dream Center. And everyone who donates to the dream Center such as Publix Sam's I'm not sure who all but even if I don't mention your name thank you for what you do for our community.

I want to thank community Action for helping me with my utility bill.

I want to thank Colbert County DHR for EBT.

I have been selling many of my belongings to get by. I actually have a 2013 Ford f150 for sale right now on marketplace. I will sell and sacrifice everything I have to take care of my family.

I will be doing a GoFundMe and adding an in-depth video so that you can better understand my situation and if you feel led, please make a donation.

Thank you in Advance and God Bless in. Jesus name.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mayor Mike Lockhart Announces Reelection Campaign for Muscle Shoals:

Muscle Shoals, AL – Mayor Mike Lockhart has officially announced his campaign for reelection, seeking to build on the healthy growth the city experienced in his first term in one of north Alabama’s fastest-growing cities. Mayor Lockhart’s priorities include preparing infrastructure for growth, investing in public safety, supporting public schools, and sustaining economic development.

“In every decision I make, my goal is to strengthen Muscle Shoals for generations to come,” said Lockhart. “We’ve had great development in the last four years, but we have even greater opportunities ahead.”

During his first term, Mayor Lockhart prioritized thoughtful city planning and innovative design through the creation of the city’s first comprehensive plan. That plan is now guiding targeted investments in infrastructure and updated zoning laws to ensure the city’s growth is balanced and purposeful.

Key achievements under Mayor Lockhart’s leadership include:
-Infrastructure Modernization: Strategic upgrades to roads, utilities, and public spaces that support current needs and future expansion.
-Public Safety Investment: A 32% increase in Police Department funding and a 43% increase for the Fire Department, including the addition of a fourth fire station and expanded School Resource Officer staffing.
-Education Funding Reform: A transition from a flat-rate school contribution to a percentage-based system aligned with retail tax growth—resulting in significantly increased funding for local schools.
-Employee Compensation Overhaul: Implementation of a comprehensive salary survey to ensure competitive pay for city employees, in partnership with Auburn University.
-Economic Development Initiatives: Partnered with retailers and developers to incentivize new sales tax generators. Announced plans for new sportsplex with mixed-use retail facilities, and renewed efforts to promote the city’s music heritage. Worked closely with Shoals EDA and Shoals Chamber of Commerce.
-Fiscal Responsibility: Strengthened the city’s financial position through responsible budgeting and strategic investments—ensuring long-term stability while supporting critical services and future growth. Oversaw the city’s bond rating improve to AA3 as rated by Moody’s.

Lockhart said, “I am proud of the results we have seen in my first term, and I am running to continue the forward momentum Muscle Shoals has created.”

Stop fighting the wrong fight!

I don't care who you are if you're reading this you are an imperfect person who is in a relationship with another imperfect person.

But why do we expect perfection out of them?

Why in the world do we fight when God tells us to confess our faults one to another and pray for one another that we may be healed?

The enemy is going to use every fault he can find in us to separate us and we let him do it.

But, when we do what God says and we confess our faults one to another, God can use those faults, that transparency, that trust, and that type of love to bring you closer than you've ever been before.
