It's SO.... allow me to introduce my latest creative endeavors, Dog on Cat coloring book series. Yes, inspired by my Dog on Cat

Over this past year I have used creativity to help me through the loss of my father. He, And my mother, always encourage me to use my abilities and talents. I also found comfort in the strange friendship between our cat and turtle, Frankie 😆. I made sure to create each page myself with cute scenes of them both. Creativity is my therapy and "playing while I wait " means utilizing my creativity in new ways while I finish other projects. I also learned new skills and ways to express myself. So I decided to make a series!

I had the privilege of reading my book, My Home, to a wonderful kindergarten class at Traphagen Elementary in my neighborhood.

The young learners were great listeners and I was able to introduce new vocabulary and open ended questions around the topic of homelessness that allowed them to make social and emotional connections to the character.

They showed their understanding through their great participation and received the message of a home being a place where you are safe and loved no matter if it might be temporary.

I love spreading Social and Emotional learning! I'm gearing up for November which is Youth homelessness month. I look forward to reading my book to many more people of all ages!
