Creative Peak potentially doesnā€™t have to completely go away after all. šŸ¤

After making the incredibly difficult decision to step away from the business, Iā€™m so excited to share that we are officially in the process of gifting the business to someone I trust!

The business will eventually continue under a new name and with a new face behind the camera, but so much of what Iā€™ve built over the years will get to live on through her. šŸ„¹

Iā€™ll be helping her through the transition, teaching her everything Iā€™ve learned, helping with the behind-the-scenes side of things, and doing everything I can to set her up for success.

There are still details to work through, and weā€™ll share more as everything comes together, but knowing that something Iā€™ve poured so much of myself into doesnā€™t necessarily have to just disappear makes this transition feel a whole lot better. šŸ¤

Iā€™m excited to see where she takes it and even more excited that my amazing clients will have someone I personally trust to continue capturing their memories.

After two years of navigating more challenges than I ever imagined while pouring everything I had into this business, Iā€™ve made one of the hardest decisions Iā€™ve ever had to make.

Iā€™ve officially decided to close my photography business.

My heart just isnā€™t in it anymore. As sad as that is to admit, the past two years have brought so many life changes and circumstances that slowly took away the joy photography once gave me. Iā€™ve continued pushing myself because I felt like I had to, but somewhere along the way it stopped being about the passion and started feeling like I was simply trying to keep going for the money. That was never why I picked up a camera, and I donā€™t want photography to be something I resent.

To those who have remaining sessions through one of my prepaid or representative programs, I have already reached out with options. If weā€™ve already discussed a plan together, nothing is changing and weā€™ll continue with what we agreed upon. If you have not heard from me you will in private message soon.

To every client who trusted me to capture your memories over the years, thank you. You allowed me to be part of some of the most important moments of your lives, and Iā€™ll always be grateful for that. Those memories and the relationships Iā€™ve built along the way are something Iā€™ll carry with me long after I put my camera down.

The last 2Ā½ months have honestly defeated me.

I donā€™t think people realize what happens behind the scenes when weather refuses to cooperate. One storm doesnā€™t just move one sessionā€”it creates a domino effect that can take weeks to recover from. Before you know it, youā€™re trying to rearrange dozens of families while racing against a season thatā€™s quickly coming to an end.

At some point, there simply arenā€™t enough evenings left.

Iā€™ve spent so much of this summer staring at weather apps, sending reschedule messages, rebuilding my calendar over and over, and hoping the next forecast is finally the one that works. Instead, it feels like weā€™ve been stuck in an endless cycle.

Iā€™m at the point where I just canā€™t keep chasing the weather anymore.

If Mother Nature doesnā€™t cooperate, I may have to start making some difficult decisions rather than continuing to push sessions back again and again. As much as I want to accommodate everyone, time is something I simply canā€™t create.

Thank you to everyone whoā€™s been patient, understanding, and flexible. I know none of this is anyoneā€™s fault, but Iā€™d be lying if I said it hasnā€™t been incredibly discouraging.
