A little over two years ago, Sprout followed me into the bathroom holding a large rubber tarantula that we’d had out for Halloween and asked if we could keep it out instead of putting it away with the rest of the Halloween decorations. Usually, I would have been “uh, privacy, please!” but instead, this time, I had an idea. “Hmm..Now that would be a fun story…A spider that skips hibernation to find out about Christmas.” And here we are, after over two years of rewrites, illustrations, edits, edits and more edits, I am SO very proud to share the final product: The Christmas Spider A Millie and Mo Adventure! To say that this has been a labor of love could never quite describe the journey that @awesomeaj
and I shared in the creation of this fully illustrated (by hand, not robot!) picture book sized (it’s 8.5x11) novel that tells the story of Mo, a sassy jumping spider and her BFF, Millie, a mouse with a heart of gold and the adventure they share one Holiday season. Happiness is up first and pretty spot on for me today! Not only did I FINALLY figured out a workaround for my book's website and got some work done on it, I found out that I won last week's challenge! Woohoo! So this is me right now 😁
