I’m deeply honored, humbled, and grateful to do what I love—providing secure, discreet, and reliable executive transport for clients who place their trust in me.

Every assignment is a privilege, and I never take it for granted. With so many qualified professionals available, being chosen to support today’s detail, as with every detail, meant a great deal.

This morning, I picked up a client and his close protection officer at Dulles and provided secure transportation to a full day of meetings at the House and Senate office buildings. I staged close by throughout the day for rapid evacuation if needed, ensured timely arrivals at each engagement, and made sure the client was comfortable and mission-ready—including cold beverages of choice every time they stepped into the vehicle.

We returned to Dulles in time for their evening departure, wrapping up a smooth, successful day.

Now hiring qualified 1099 security drivers!

Thank you for your interest in working with Aegis Executive Transport (AET). Our mission is to provide discreet, secure, and professional transportation services for high-net-worth clients and principal protection teams across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. We are currently onboarding a select group of highly experienced armed security drivers. As a retired law enforcement officer with a valid LEOSA credential and precision driving experience, you meet our baseline qualifications. However, we are looking for more than just qualifications — we are seeking professionals who embody the Aegis brand: integrity, discretion, professionalism, and a client-first mindset.

🔐 Position Overview: 1099 Armed Driver (On-Call, As-Needed)
This is a 1099 independent contractor role. Qualified drivers will be added to our call roster and contacted when assignments become available. Each assignment will be treated as a standalone term contract, with individually negotiated rates, hours, uniform requirements, and responsibilities depending on the nature of the detail. I try to negotiate rates at approximately $50 per hour for the driver with a 6-8 hour minimum, with many days running 12 hours or more.

You may accept or decline any given assignment. Priority will be given to those who consistently demonstrate availability, reliability, and exceptional client service.

✅ General Duties

- Operate AET or client vehicles in a safe, lawful, and professional manner
- Maintain assigned vehicles in immaculate, detail-level condition
- Ensure refreshments and in-vehicle amenities are restocked and presented neatly before each detail
- Perform basic Executive Protection (EP) driver duties including advance route planning, threat awareness, and team integration
- Coordinate with EP teams, site POCs, and AET leadership
- Ensure principals and clients are greeted professionally, handled discreetly, and transported securely

✅ Baseline Requirements

- *** CUSTOMER SERVICE MINDSET ***
- Valid LEOSA Credential (HR 218) or the authorization to legally carry a concealed handgun in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
- Valid Driver’s License (MD or equivalent)
- Clean Driving Record and ability to obtain a MD PSC For-Hire Driver’s License (having the PSC license is not required…the ability to obtain it is.)
- Proof of personal automobile Insurance
- CPR/AED Certification (required within 60 days)
- W-9 and Independent Contractor Agreement
- Consent to Background Check
- Professional Dress and Grooming Standards free of any strong scents
