Did you know the first bounce house was invented by an Engineer.
In 1959, an engineer named John Scurlock created the first inflatable bounce house. Scurlock, who was working on inflatable products like tents and structures, came up with the idea while watching his employees jumping on the inflatable material he was experimenting with. He realized that the material could be used for recreation, and thus the first bounce house was born. It wasn’t designed for kids at first, but rather as a way to create temporary structures. The commercial use for bounce houses began in the 1960s, and since then, the idea has expanded beyond imagination.
