I feel like I have so much to say about today (I guess it’s technically yesterday at this moment) but words alone just can’t describe it…read on if you wish…this might be long…
I wish my eyes were a camera and recorded the last 30 hours. Yes, there were points when I was about to pull my own hair out and I had to remind myself to breath. Thank you to my fantabulous staff for helping me to not completely lose it, to all of the lesson-learned moments, to all of the hardworking and patient vendors who were part of this day (listed below).
AMAZING day with the JORDANS (Jordan and Jordan, the new Mr. and Mrs. C). What an amazing family! Amazing friends! Amazing guests! Amazing FUN! “AMAZING” just doesn’t even come close!!
Highlights…I can’t name them all (so, I will name a few in no particular order because they were all such precious moments)…
-The STUNNING bride…I love that I don’t “ask” to see a picture of the dress beforehand…I get to be AWE STRUCK when I see her on THAT day, in THAT way, it’s awesome!
-The groom surprising his new wife (and the rest of us) with getting up and playing guitar and singing with the band ("How Sweet It Is" by James Taylor's version)
-The graceful prayer before dinner by the FOG - actually brought me to tears (again)
-The Officiant - that ceremony - WOW!
-THE KISS!!!!
-Sweet Pippa - the “flower dog”
-Their story - how fun to hear it told by the different members of the family - tears in each of their eyes telling their POV
-So many genuinely having a blast that we moved tables out of the way to make the dance floor larger
-Their FINAL dance after the last song...guests already outside lined up to wish happy days...just THEM, the photographer, and the band singing "Can't Help Falling In Love" by Elvis Presley.
There truly are so MANY moments, I can't list them all…
The BIGGEST THANK YOU is to the couple…this I can’t say enough. Jordan and Jordan, you have no idea the impact you had on me this past year (all of our “quick” phone calls that lasted a couple - okay sometimes a few - hours, the prepping and putting together everything for your day, the last few weeks of crunch time, meeting your friends and family at your rehearsal, and then THE BIG DAY). Thank you for being so gracious, down-to-earth, “humble”, fun, genuine.
I love EVERY couple I have worked with - I have been SO lucky over the last 8 years!! Each and every one of them!! I closed THB a while back at a point that I felt I no longer had the passion I thought each couple deserved from me to help them plan every second of their day. Jordan and Jordan, THANK YOU for being the couple to remind me. I won’t go into anymore than that. Just THANK YOU and I genuinely hope that we CAN see each other again when you’re this way for a visit!
The vendors…this day wouldn’t have happened as it did if y’all weren’t so AWESOME! I started to type notes to each of you below and realized this post is already going to be long, so just please know how appreciated you all are!
