The last two days have been full of conference callls, contracts sent, welcome packages shipped, and those small details confirmed! ✔️🤩

2021 you’re in our rear view and I have to admit….I ain’t sad about it! You led us through some peaks and valleys- more valleys than peaks, but looking at it upside down - we see the valleys were actually our PEAKS! In those valleys we drew ourselves closer and sought Him for guidance, comfort and healing.

We are heading into 2022 with a new perspective, new paths and a passion for serving YOU!

Thank YOU for loving us through the last quarter. Your kindness, compassion and patience was head and shoulders above what we deserved. 🥰

Our Mooresville studio will be closed tomorrow, November 18th in preparation for our Christmas Open House at the Conover Studio! We hope to see you tomorrow in Conover from 5PM-8PM!

For those of you that have seen the movie ‘You’ve Got Mail’ you will get the reference, “you gotta go to the mattresses…”

To say we have fought the companies larger than us would be an understatement. We have studied the numbers, cried, negotiated and still, we find ourselves back at square one. 😢

We are very sad to say that as of Sunday, November 22nd, we will no longer be operating in our current space at Mooresville Town Square.

Unfortunately, the building we lease required us to extend our lease for an extended period of time at an increased rate that is simply out of our reach. Given the uncertainty of the future we are not quite comfortable with the new terms.

Our last day in our current space is Sunday, November 21st. We have worked with the management company to allow us to operate a "pop-up" space adjacent to our building in the space between Jimmy Johns and Bad Daddy’s (279 Williamson Rd Suite B ) through the end of the year so that we may serve our existing parties.

After the end of the year, the location of our Mooresville Studio has yet to be determined.

Please accept our sincerest appreciation to every patron that has supported our studio, as well as the neighboring tenants of Mooresville Town Square for their hospitality over the years. We are so happy to have been part of the Mooresville community and will work to identify appropriate space so that we may continue to serve you in the future.

Behind the scenes of a small business owner isn’t glamorous. For me, (and most), it’s long hours- both in the car 🚗 and in the studio, sacrificed 🥎 ballgames/family events, sleepless nights, pressures of creating 👩🏼‍🎨new designs, chasing and clawing for materials (in a day where the ‘creative’ falls short to the big box stores) and most difficult for this 51yr old—-maintaining a constant mind set of learning 🙇‍♀️. Uuugghhh how technology 💻 kicks my ole rear end! 😩

BBUUTT….then comes an ordinary Wednesday.….a particularly stressful Wednesday to say the least …..and just like that- without warning—-a precious, young lady comes in to paint. 🎨

Like always, I begin to talk with them and I learn from her Mother, it’s her daughter, Paige’s birthday. Then her Mother tells me all Paige wanted for her birthday was to go see the Jonas Brothers (which she did), paint at hooWray and go eat at the Waffle House! [the PERFECT bday BTW🤩]…. hooWray and the Jonas Brothers on the SAME wish list! WOW!

Sweet Paige, just so YOU know- the Jonas Brothers may have not known you were there, and the Waffle House more than likely did not realize they served you for your birthday, but, me- hip hip hooWray…..I. Sure. Did. YOU brightened the walls of this small business today! Happy Happy Birthday! 🎂🎊🎉 Thank YOU for sharing you’re special day with me. 🥰
