We’re three days away from our 25th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Virtual Gathering, and we’re pleased to feature a message from Brother General President Milton C. Davis, Esquire.

A native of Tuskegee, Brother General President Davis has distinguished himself through a legal career spanning 43 years and service in the military, public and private sectors. After completing a bachelor’s degree in political science at Tuskegee, Davis earned his juris doctorate from University of Iowa’s College of Law in 1974.

Not only is he one of the first African-Americans in Alabama to be named a state assistant attorney general, but he also received nationwide acclaim for his role in securing the full pardon for Clarence Norris, the last known surviving “Scottsboro Boy,” on the basis of innocence. In addition, his career highlights also include 25 years of service in the U.S. Air Force Reserves Judge Advocate General Corps and teaching business courses as an adjunct professor in Tuskegee’s Andrew F. Brimmer College of Business and Information Science.

From 1993 to 1996, Brother Davis served as the 29th general president of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., and just as we are pleased to have him as an active member of the Alpha Upsilon Lambda Chapter of our fraternity, we are pleased to have him as one of this year’s dynamic speakers.
