If you have driven by our garden recently, you will have seen the metal donkey we were gifted this summer. Thank you Montevallo Chamber of Commerce director, Adele Nelson!

After much deliberation and a special drawing, the donkey has been named Frederick Nelson, III. He answers to Fred. Scarecrow Thelma and goat Wilbur have welcomed Fred to the garden.

If you have ever wondered what it is like to have a flower studio in your basement, let me satisfy your curiosity. It is like having a flower bomb explode. You will find flowers, greenery and mechanic everywhere.

Thankfully, we have a large room for designing and a converted study as a cooler.

I look forward to the next event. If you are planning an event of any kind. You can contact me by dm or by texting 12056798008. You can also email at [email protected]

Shelby Emergency Assistance Gala 2026 was held in the ballroom of the American Village. You can make a donation to this worthy social service anytime using the donate button on their page.

You know I love zinnias! There are so many varieties. In the last few years, breeders have been successful in creating blooms that are in a soft palette, some names are Linen, Ballerina and Unicorn. They are as lovely as their names imply.

This softer palette works well with English garden style arrangements. Thanks to ADayintheLifeal for letting me provide flowers for her recent event at Hoover Antique Gallery

If you haven’t had a chance to visit her booth, do so soon!
