Originally founded in 1999 as Eastside Medical Services, STAT Response is owned and operated by Shane Roeder, EMT, and managed by an experienced staff of pre-hospital professionals. STAT Response is committed not only to providing the finest quality emergency services and training, but to employing persons who embody the foremost characteristics of a first response professional. We believe that in order to provide the best for our customers and students, an employee must be in a challenging work environment, and rewarded well for their toils. Our employees are the faces of our company -- providing not only physical and mental care -- but acting compassionate, empathetic and professional. In essence, the "service" in Emergency Medical Services is not really a ride to the hospital or the quick bandaging of an injury at the county fair, but the emotional and physical care given by an employee to someone who is sick or injured. Many of our employees -- including much of the management team -- have worked for large national ambulance services and felt that the care they were forced to provide was not good enough for their friends and families. Today, STAT Response recognizes World First Aid Day—and the simple but powerful truth that you don't have to be a firefighter, EMT, or paramedic to make a difference when someone needs help.

First aid is more than bandages.
CPR is more than a skill.
Preparedness is more than having a kit.

It's about being willing to step forward when others may be afraid to act.

A few minutes of training can give an ordinary person the confidence to recognize an emergency, start CPR, control bleeding, use an AED, or provide basic care until professional responders arrive.

Our firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, and other first responders train for the moments when seconds matter. But the first person who can make a difference is often already there.

At STAT Response, we believe preparedness is part of caring for our communities. That's why we believe in teaching, training, and empowering people to help others.

And as Christians, we believe we're called to serve one another.

Happy Emergency Management Awareness Month!

This month, STAT Response would like to take a moment to recognize and thank all of the Emergency Management professionals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to help keep our communities, events, and activities safe.

From coordinating resources and staffing to working closely with event organizers, public safety agencies, first responders, and medical teams, Emergency Management plays a critical role in making sure the right people and resources are in the right place when they are needed.

Many times, the public never sees the planning, coordination, meetings, phone calls, and countless hours that go into making an event run safely and smoothly. But we see it—and we appreciate it!

Thank you to everyone in Emergency Management who helps ensure events are properly planned, appropriately staffed, and prepared to handle the unexpected. Your dedication helps allow our communities to come together, enjoy their events, and return home safely.
