PSA, “Ted Talk”
“We” MUST get back to supporting our own professional vendors for our weddings and events! Our pros do better work, offer better products and “they” have never really supported us at their table regardless of how hard we work, begged and jumped though unnecessary hoops to be on their list, we’ve posted online & grew thousands of followers and paid big money be in their groups and in their event expos. To have gotten nothing but disrespect and fake kindness in return!
As a client,
Did you know they just want your money and they over charge you. (Yes black clients get charged more and get charged for every little thing you ask for!)
Don’t you know many of them charge you more than their “other” clients for less work! But you don’t want pay a person in your community there full fee…
We/ black vendors, actually give you your moneys worth and more! There is not 1 black vendor I know in my 30 years in the event business, that doesn’t give you more than you paid for to any client that doesn’t argue with the set fee they quote and charge. Hire our skilled pros, support your own because 9.9/10 you’re going to be extremely happy. “They” stole our ideas anyway so you should get it from the people they learned it from and know you’re getting what you paid for.
It’s time…
We know some of us have our issues,
but you still support Mc Donald’s and other places when they mess us.
Honestly “they”mess up much more than we do (because we know one mess up big or small for us could end our entire business) and you say nothing to them, and pay them their money with no argument and refer them. 👀
At least with us, most of us will offer you compensation or extra services to make up for it. They offer you nothing when they mess up, and argue you to your face and make you feel bad about their mistake though it was your fought. (I’m not talking about anything that I have not seen with my own eyes.) Some treat you bad, talk about you at your event in those back rooms and you continue to use them because you have been convinced they are better. Some sabotage your black pros at your event, convince you to your face and you believe them because you were trained by this world we live in that “they’re in the right & that your black vendor is in the wrong, and then you find out much later, it was them all along and now you are shocked.
Our Black professionals in this 757 area has attended, participated in and graduated from the most elite celebrity quality certified classes, learned the skills and do the detail work “they” skip over! You spend 2-4 times for their rentals for the items to show up dirty and you still have to pay extra to have it set up and picked up the same day.
Support your own people!
because sooner than you think…
“they”will deny you, even if it’s a big company, and you won’t be able to hire them because they won’t take black clients anymore just like they did with LGBTQ community, because discrimination of us is becoming legal open and ok again. They are taking our 14th amendment rights as we speak.
We build this page a few years ago to sincerely developed our black events and professional community full of reputable, extremely talented wedding, and event vendors in this 757 area and beyond.
As our lives continue to change rapidly because of the unfortunate political situation we face, the need for this group in the 757, yes, the home of confederacy, this wedding & events collective has become extremely important!
However… it can only grow if our black community hires professional people in our own community instead of seeking out what you have been convinced is better but in reality, “they” are just a copy of all the talented pros this community this area events community has walled out & stolen their stills from.
This page & instagram page will be becoming more active with promoting local professional black vendors and connecting them with your posted needs request. The more active it becomes, we will begin to start having events again in our local area and Black event pro support meetings. We ARE going to work together, support each other, complement each other, no talk bad about anyone, lift each other up and help each other out and become brothers and sisters again and build this event/wedding community as a big talented family of love, support & definitely a good time! Jealousy is not gonna be allowed and why be jealous when your community can help you be better, because we are better together, and when come solid together, we are better than everybody else!
