Hello! My name is Mariah and I am a calligrapher living in Minneapolis, MN. I design and create each and every table setting by hand. After working for years in Commercial Architecture & Design, I became a stay at home mom and starting making wedding signs and place cards for friends and family in my spare time. I loved it so much I decided to turn it into a business.
And that's how A Modern Setting was born!

One of my favorite moments when attending a wedding is walking into a venue and seeing tables beautifully set with custom place cards. It sets the stage for a wonderful, memorable day and lunch/dinner to come! I design classically elegant AND unconventional place cards and es**rt cards for weddings and special events.
