Gratitude for one of the coolest collaborations we’ve had the opportunity to be part of this year. 🌿✨
Diane’s Place is putting Minneapolis on the map, not only through Diane’s incredible culinary creations and authentic approach to Hmong American cooking, but through the beautiful spirit she brings to hospitality. She is a profound leader, guiding a team of more than 100 people while creating the kind of experience that makes you feel genuinely cared for the moment you walk through the door.
So, of course, it made perfect sense that my dear friend Katherine (Katherine Roepke) chose Events by Diane’s Place for the after-party brunch celebrating her fabulous husband’s retirement from the University of Minnesota and his 80th birthday.
Legacy celebrating legacy, surrounded by legacy.
I couldn’t be more honored to play a small part in bringing it all to life. This collaboration pushed all of us artistically, weaving together flowers, food, hospitality and friendship to create a celebration I don’t think any of us will soon forget.
And somehow, the story gets even better.
The potted hydrangeas we incorporated into the floral designs will now be planted on Diane’s property, where they’ll continue to grow long after the party has ended. A little piece of this extraordinary weekend taking root and becoming part of the landscape.
And hopefully, we’ll get to watch them grow over many fabulous dinners at Diane’s Place for years to come. 💐
