Hi neighbors we need your support,

As many of you know, Tony’s Place (located right here in Arbela twp. on Vassar Road) is a beautiful 17-acre property that has proudly served as a peaceful community rental for several years. Over this time, we have focused on being a quiet, responsible fixture in the neighborhood. We want to work collaboratively with Arbela Township to ensure this space can continue to be safely and responsibly enjoyed by local families.

To show our local officials that there is strong support for a balanced compromise, I have started an online community petition. Our goal is simple: We are asking the Township Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) to support a structured framework that explicitly allows property renters to host their private family events, children’s open houses, birthdays, weddings, and other milestone celebrations on-site.
To fully respect our neighbors on both sides of the Vassar Road border and preserve our township’s peaceful rural character, we want to highlight the strict, mandatory rules we already enforce for all of our guests:

• Strict evening quiet hours and noise controls
• Managed on-site parking
• Respectful limits on gathering sizes
• A signed code of conduct required by every renter to guarantee absolute consideration for our neighborhood

We want to find a win-win solution that protects property rights, keeps family celebrations local, and avoids costly administrative or legal disputes that drain township taxpayer resources.

Last week’s project at Tony’s place, the fire pit was looking pretty bad now it’s rebuilt, hopefully this last another four or five years before we have to redo the entire thing .
