I had the honor of making coffee for my friend ’s celebration of life this past weekend. Casey was so supportive of my business, she believed in me and knew I could do it before I even did. So it was only fitting that I volunteer my services for her memorial.

Her celebration of life was a Hawaiian themed party, she would’ve loved it! No black, just Hawaiian print or bright colors! 🌺 I even ran into my 8th grade health teacher/my dad’s old water skiing buddy there who was also Casey’s health teacher! Good to see you Thornely!

A big thank you to Sheryl and Deanna for helping with the coffee service! Casey’s favorite drink, when her and I worked at , was an americano with our homemade white chocolate sauce, so I recreated that sauce for her memorial. Huge thank you to for donating the white chocolate chips! Another huge thank you to for donating some of the coffee!!

Casey had such a bright, positive personality and she will be severely missed. I’m so glad I got to do this and help her family. Love you, Casey! ❤️

A week full of appreciation! Monday was teacher appreciation at a school in Snohomish, Wednesday was employee appreciation at Ballard Industrial and Thursday was teacher appreciation at my daughter’s school. It was a full, busy week, but so fun!

Happy 1-year anniversary to Root & Vine Espresso! I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. Your likes, shares, comments, donations, and of course your business have made this small dream of mine a success. I appreciate each and every one of you!

Starting a business is hard, but the hardest part was quieting the self-doubt and imposter syndrome. I had to push past the constant thoughts of, “Who am I to start a business?” “I don’t know what I’m doing.” “Everyone thinks I’m going to fail, what if I prove them right?” “No one is going to support me.” I had to continually tell that part of my brain to shut up.
And I did it. I ignored those thoughts, pushed through, and didn’t let any of the roadblocks stop me. I was determined to start my own coffee business and I fu***ng did it! I have never been so proud of myself. 😊

To date, I’ve had 17 events, with 4 more bookings in the next couple of weeks, all through word of mouth, no marketing! Thank you to The Green Beanery customers who have hired me and shared my info. You guys really helped me get my start!

A huge thank you to my husband for supporting me and taking our daughter to school or to work with you on days I’ve had events, you are truly the best! ❤️
