Candi's Tea & Catering has officially been operating now for about 14 months. We have made our 1 year anniversary. Who knew that an internship project would turn into an actual business?! The backbone of any good company is its employees. They are the ones that work the long hours to ensure there is beauty in everything they touch. Constantly checking on our clients, washing and polishing, slaving over hot ovens, stoves, and today, hot grill. Here is my moment to brag about one of my employees. This young lady started with our company (originally The Finest Hour) and has succeeded all my expectations with flying colors. I was waiting til December to make this official, but it's feel good Halloween Friday. My wife attended tonight's Halloween block party at our church ( Connection Christian Church) to help out with our catering. This catering was special, not only cause it's our church, but because it was Camy Mays first solo catering. And guess what?! She nailed it, exceptional service, heard the hotdogs were amazing! Since my wife, co-owner of our company, was on site I asked her to promote Camy to Sous Chef. Of course this promotion comes with a raise. Camy has been my right hand through all caterings and has earn that title and more. As owners of Candi's Tea & Catering we are proud to have an employee like Sous Chef Camy Mays!!!
