Before Jessica & Trey said “I do,” I was chatting with their family as we lined up for the processional at the beautiful Roundhouse in Beacon. Jessica’s grandfather looked at me and said, “Now, I’ll be grading you after the ceremony.”

I happily took on the challenge, and after their beautiful ceremony, I had to know my score.

His response? “11.”
My reply: “11 out of…?”
Grandpa: “Out of 10!” 🥹✨

It’s always my goal to craft a ceremony that feels like no other — not just for my wonderful couples, but for the family and friends they’ve chosen to surround themselves with. Moments like this remind me how special this path is, and how grateful I am for the couples I get to meet along the way.

The first time I was asked to officiate a wedding, I didn’t see it as just helping out. I saw it as something sacred—an invitation into purpose. That “yes” wasn’t random. It was alignment. And I treated it with the care it deserved.

Coming off the excitement of being named the 2025 Chronogrammies winner for Best Wedding Officiant, I’ve been reflecting on the steps that brought me here, and this moment was a big one.

I couldn’t have stumbled upon a better spot after officiating a wedding at The Roundhouse! Liquid Fables, a distillery right across the street, serves up delicious ready-to-drink cocktails inspired by classic childhood fables—like, 'The Tortoise and the Hare', and 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff' (both my personal favorites!)

As a wedding officiant, storytelling is at the heart of what I do. Every ceremony I put together is about bringing my couples' love stories to life in a way that feels uniquely them. So, seeing this sign felt like a little nod from the universe. The drinks? Fantastic. The vibes? Immaculate.

Definitely a spot worth checking out!
