🇺🇸⭐️KNOW BEFORE YOU GO⭐️🇺🇸
June 13’s America 250th event in McAlisterville is a ONE DAY ONLY never to be repeated celebration. We can’t wait to celebrate with you! Here are some tips:
💰This is a FREE event - no parking, programming, or entertainment fees. We did this all for our community and want everyone to be able to enjoy with no cost barriers. You need only bring money for food or souvenirs.
☀️While some of the programming & entertainment is indoors at the Community Building, Presbyterian Church, and Fayette Fire Co. Social Hall, the rest is all outdoors and this is a Rain or Shine event.
🪑BRING YOUR OWN CHAIRS for the Main Stage entertainment. See the full schedule on our website. There will be plenty of picnic tables in pavilions for you to find a place to sit down to eat food from one of our 23 food vendors.
🚙 PARKING: This will be the same as it is for those who attend the annual Fayette Carnival. You can find parking at various spots around the park and throughout town. There is some parking behind the chicken BBQ pits at the park, some at the fire hall, across the road from the firehall, the empty lot at the square, and churches. Parking at the Lions Den is only permitted until 3pm and then all cars must be removed due to fireworks set-up safety. There is also parking at the little league field at the corner of School Street and Shade Road. PLAN AHEAD and make arrangements to carpool or be dropped off.
📄Event Programs with the full schedule can be picked up under the big tent beside the pavilion at the Juniata County Historical Society tables. Stick around and play a quick game or two for free souvenir prizes!
📣We have advertised on multiple radio stations, social media, 3 newspapers, placemats, a billboard, and sent a county-wide 9,000+ piece mailer right to people’s houses. (Plus, some of us won’t stop talking about it 😉). It is important to us that everyone knows they are invited and welcome. If you hear anyone say they didn’t know anything about it, it certainly wasn’t for lack of trying😊
See you Saturday,
Your Volunteer “Committee of 11”
