For one evening, we're bringing together two chefs and two culinary perspectives to celebrate the richness of Maryland's food heritage.

Chef Anthony Jones of Marcus DC and Chefs David & Tonya Thomas of H3irloom Food Group come together for an intimate collaborative dinner rooted in history, place, and the people who have shaped the Chesapeake's culinary identity. From the Indigenous communities who first stewarded these lands to the African, Caribbean, and immigrant influences that continue to define our tables, each course tells a story.

This isn't just a collaboration—it's a conversation through food. A celebration of tradition, innovation, and the shared belief that every meal has the power to connect us to one another and to our history.

This past weekend H3 had the pleasure of participating in Outstanding in the field for a fourth time. This year was even more special because our friend is recovering wonderfully from a devastating illness. This our third time at Burnt Hill Farm, and Drew and the family always make it feel like a homecoming. Cooking on the land is always special for me,and my team always comes together with enthusiasm and reverence for this special event. Its events like this that bring people of all backgrounds together, sit at a table,break bread with strangers and enjoy each other's company. The 🌎 needs more of this now more than ever.

Cameroon is a special place! And in special places we find incredibly special people.In these pictures you will see ingredients, all of these products are farmed with love. Grown in incredibly rich soil by people who have mastered the art. One of these ingredients is the pepper. This pepper is so prized that rated restaurants have cornered the market. To the effect that the local community can't afford to purchase. Africa is always giving,how do we give back?
