Our Intern Camila is President of the International Business organization at FIU who works with a group of women in India to help build a microbusiness for females who are not economically self-dependent. She and a product development committee assembled prototypes and traveled to India to help these women learn. We are so proud of her and happy to have helped make this possible for the Women’s coop in the Bandhwari village.
It's been a busy month for our team. We've broken through every challenge and have made it happen.
As event planners, we travel to many different countries and are always inspired to incorporate local culture into our productions. For an event in Jamaica we combined the sights and sounds of mento. The mento dance is a Jamaican folk-form dance with acoustic guitar, banjo, hand drums and rhumba box. Mento is a style of Jamaican folk music that predates and has greatly influenced Ska and Reggae music. The lyrics of mento songs often deal with aspects of everyday life in a light-hearted and humorous way.
We are honored to have sponsored the Children's Home Society's "Helping turning lives around luncheon" we are always happy to support this organization and everything they do for the children in our community.
