A core name of the Ole Music roster and recent guest on the Radioshow, Adriano Longi joins us for a chance to catch up about his recent release on the label, “Drop.” We talked about his creative process and the fuel behind his latest single.
Q: “Drop” has a recognizable sound among your discography from over the years. What makes it such a strong fit for Ole Music?
A: Ole Music has been a label I’ve followed for years and one that has always aligned with my musical taste. I think, subconsciously, that influence has always found its way into my productions. When I played “Drop” for David and received such positive feedback, it became clear where the track’s home was from the start.

Q: What’s the first thing that sparked “Drop” to come together?
A: I was originally working on a different track that already had most of the groove and the vocal, but it was missing the horn elements. After a while, it just didn’t feel right. I ended up combining it with ideas from another project that had reached a dead end, and suddenly everything clicked. From that moment on, I couldn’t leave my chair until the track was finished.

Q: “Drop” reflects the groove and musicality you’ve become known for. What keeps you inspired to keep creating after all these years?
A: What keeps me motivated is the opportunity to keep growing with every record. Drop reflects where I am creatively today while staying true to the sound I’ve built over the years. Just as important has been surrounding myself with the right people - friends, collaborators, and mentors who continue to inspire, challenge, and support me, including David Herrero. Their friendship has been invaluable, and I’m grateful to have them as part of my circle.
