I always love how the scene unfolds when a homie drops an absolute skanker and another homie just starts yelling out raggae dub chants

“BOP BOP BOP”

I always love hearing a big ole whistle from the depths of the crowd. It lets you know that somewhere on that dancefloor, that person is in bliss.

As a DJ, when that happens I think, “I did it”. It’s what I’m here for. All the pressure from before the set is lifted off; now, the pressure to keep that person there begins.

I love it when I see someone dancing eyes-closed to something I wrote/produced. When their energy level doesn’t change after transitioning into one of my tracks, my soul soars. When they dance harder, I’m in heaven.

Lots to be grateful for if you just take the time to stop and to look around yourself. I know it’s not easy, but the best life has to offer can be found in all the small things.

I wanted to finish something using references from this place I call home. Born and bred in SoFlo, Three 6 Mafia’s “Stay Fly” was one of the first tracks I hunted to get onto my iPod. It played at every school dance, I hadn’t heard it in a while, and it’s just a great stoner track if I’m being honest. Started the beat at like 5:30am after a set and had it ready before the sun came up. Pure club banger this time. Hope y’all enjoy!

Nights like this past Friday are what make the hard work all worth it 💪🏼

My favorite part of the night?

Playing out my track “Shout Out” as the transition out of ’s set (which I actually just signed to a fantastic label for a proper release 👀)

I’ve literally woken up at 2:30am to take a class with another producer in Europe (Europe? more like We 🆙). I’ve dealt with some of the worst FOMO just so I can dedicate more time to this. I sometimes don’t sleep for 3 days just to meet the right people, finish music, record content, etc. I’ve invested thousands of my own dollars to educate myself, publish my work, and share this thing I love with y’all.

After starting to produce back in 2020, here I am, 6 years later, sprinkling my music all over my set, at one of the biggest clubs in my state, while opening for an absolute ~legend~ of the game 😮‍💨 I’m quite literally living my dream.

All this on top of the fact that I’m surrounded and supported by friends and family while I’m at it 🥰

I’m right where I want to be, while heading in the direction of the path I laid out for myself about 8+ years ago
