When Michelin-starred chefs need a kitchen in Miami, they come to ours. For Once Upon A Kitchen, our commissary became home base for some of the best chefs on the planet — Massimo Bottura, Mauro Colagreco, and Alex Atala among them, prepping alongside their teams in the days before service. Kitchen space, line cooks, pop-up setup — the parts nobody sees, which is exactly the point. This is something we do often for visiting culinary talent, and we love every minute of it.

A different kind of behind-the-scenes. We didn't cater this one, we made it possible. On the night of Once Upon A Kitchen our team provided full logistical support for the visiting Michelin-starred chefs: staffing, waitstaff, kitchen equipment, and supplies, with our in-house chefs working the line alongside the chefs' own teams. It's not the part guests see from their seats, but it's very much how the evening came together. Our commissary also served as the prep hub in the days leading up to the event.

Venue spotlight: A Glimpse of The Cruz Building, tucked into the heart of historic Coconut Grove. Three stories, three completely different worlds — Italian cobblestone courtyards give way to a floating marble staircase, and by the time you reach the ballroom, you're standing under a hand-painted celestial ceiling and a 100-light bronze chandelier. Step out to the rooftop terrace and twin stone lions keep watch over the Grove's tree-lined streets below. It's the kind of place where every level tells a different story. Pictured here: a 25th birthday celebrated across all three levels.
