Today is a historic day! It does not matter what side you are on, we can all agree on that. My hope is that we can become friends again, neighbors again, love again and begin to talk to each. I’m so tired of the division, it’s exhausting. We all have different points of view and that’s what makes us human and unique. I would love to embrace our differences, celebrate them. Who is with me? Who is ready to come together? Who is ready to love one another?

Today we lost our guinea pig Twilight😭. I help her in my arms until she went to heaven. Maya was so sad to hear she had lost her friend. Now her brother and companion Moonie is left alone in his cage and we all are living on him a little extra today.

We planted this star fruit tree in her name so we will always remember her. What do you do when you lose a pet?

My heart aches for him. I know how it feels to wipe out on your bike. I did it a few times as a kid (as an adult too). He was shaking and so scared. He wanted his momma by his side. I cleaned up his wounds and applied my favorite multi tasking can’t live without healer!
For now he rests and we wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Nothing gives me more joy than being able to give my kids the gift of the great outdoors. My parents took us camping when we were kids and I always remember how much fun we had. We felt freedom as we rode our bikes with our friends. I remember becoming even closer to my brother @joseperez_288. We looked out for each other and still do as adults. As a parent I see how you create a community with fellow campers. My favorite thing is when we make new friends. Parents and kids alike bonding over our shared experiences.

Happy New Year! I want to introduce my self to all the new followers who have joined me in 2020. It has been quite a year, and as always it’s all about perspective. I don’t think I will miss 2020 but there were a few great things that happened despite the chaos. I’ve learned to appreciate my family and spending time with my 2 kids. Maya who is 8 years old and Gabriel who is 11 years old. I’ve also learned to appreciate teachers and school. What seemed so “fun” soon became a nightmare. Virtual school was not what it was cracked up to be!
My husband Mark who works at American Airlines was blessed to still have a job to go to daily.

I continued to work my Beautycounter business but now solely on zoom. I grew my business and added 15 new voices to the clean beauty movement! Feeling so lucky to be able to offer the opportunity to work from home and make a significant income during these trying times.

And the best thing that came from 2020 was we bought a new house!!!! It was everything we had ever wished for and did not even know we needed. We are so happy and the kids are overjoyed! I cannot wait to celebrate everything the new year has to offer from our new home.

2020 had its ups and down but overall I think we connected more with those we love and learned to appreciate our life even more.

Today Maya was Baptized and took holy communion. She became emotional when Pastor Megan exclaimed that now she was Jesus daughter. It was a beautiful ceremony. The kids loved their Abuelo so much. They would always take pictures with him when they visited. Maya even gave him a baby turtle for him to hold when he fell ill. Today he has gone to heaven and has left us with only memories. I pray for my mother in law that is hurting so much today and for my husband who has lost his father and for my sister in law that went above and beyond caring for them until the hey end.
I pray that he has found peace and that my children will always remember him as he was, sweet, loving, inventive and caring. May he Rest In Peace 🙏.

Love working for this company! We are not only serving our communities with safer non toxic beauty products but we are changing the laws in this country which have not been changed since 1938!

In the USA we only have 30 ingredients that are banned! And the FDA does not have the authority to pull any products from the shelf even if they are harmful! What?!?! The industry is self regulated! That’s why you gets so many companies claiming to be clean, vegan and non toxic when they really are not!

Beautycounter is changing all that. We ban more than 1800 ingredients from our products and we are 100% transparent. We start at the bottom with the harvesting of ingredients and we go all the way up to packaging making sure it is clean, safe and ethically sourced. Who else does that?!
