Wedding Planner vs. Wedding Coordinator: What’s the Difference?

They sound similar, but they’re actually two very different roles and knowing which one you need can make planning your wedding a whole lot easier!

A Wedding Planner helps you PLAN the wedding.
Think of your planner as your guide from the early stages all the way to the big day. They may help with:

Finding and selecting vendors
Creating and managing your budget
Developing your theme, style, and overall vision

Reviewing contracts and keeping track of details
Building your timeline and planning schedule
Helping you make the hundreds of decisions that come with planning a wedding

A Wedding Coordinator helps you EXECUTE the wedding.
You've done the planning—now you need someone to make sure everything actually happens the way you envisioned it.

Your coordinator may:

Manage the wedding-day timeline
Communicate with vendors
Make sure décor and details are where they belong
Keep the wedding party organized
Coordinate ceremony and reception transitions
Handle those unexpected problems that ALWAYS seem to pop up!

Here's the easiest way to remember it:

A "Wedding Planner" helps you create the plan while a "Wedding Coordinator" makes sure the plan happens.

And here's the most important part…

You shouldn't have to be the coordinator at your own wedding.

Your job that day is to get married, celebrate, laugh, dance, take it all in, and enjoy the people you love.

Let someone else watch the clock. ❤️

Planning a wedding? Let's talk about how we can help make your day beautiful, organized, and a lot less stressful!

5 Things Your Wedding Coordinator Wishes You Knew

Your wedding coordinator is there to make your wedding day beautiful, organized, and most importantly, stress-free. ❤️

But there are a few things we wish every couple knew before the big day:

1. Your timeline matters more than you think.
A few minutes here and there can quickly turn into an hour behind schedule. A well-planned timeline helps everyone; from hair and makeup, to the DJ and photographer. Things so smoothly when you stay on track.

2. We actually WANT you to tell us when something is wrong.
Don't worry about "bothering" us. If something isn't going the way you expected, tell us. Solving problems is part of our job!

3. Your family and friends should be guests, not your wedding staff.
Let Mom enjoy the ceremony. Let Dad enjoy the reception. Your friends shouldn't be worrying about decorations, vendors, or keeping everyone on schedule. That's what we're here for.

4. We handle more behind the scenes than you probably realize.
Vendor questions, timeline adjustments, missing flowers, misplaced boutonnières, unexpected weather, last-minute changes... sometimes our biggest success is when you never even know there was a problem. 😉

5. Your wedding day is about YOU.
Don't spend your entire day worrying about whether everything is going according to plan. Trust your vendors, trust your coordinator, take a breath, and enjoy the people you love.

Because at the end of the day, the best wedding isn't the one where everything goes perfectly, it's the one where the couple gets to enjoy every moment. 💍❤️

We've all heard about the big wedding-day disasters; someone faints, the cake leans a little too far, Uncle Bob decides he's the DJ after three trips to the bar... 😂 But the truth is, most weddings don't go off the rails because of something huge. It's usually the little things that slip everyone's mind when the excitement kicks in.

Here are 5 things couples almost always forget on their wedding day (and you'll be glad you remembered them!):

1. Eat during the reception.
You paid for the food. Make sure you actually get to enjoy it! The day flies by, and before you know it, dinner is over.

2. Assign someone to gather your gifts.
At the end of the night, you'll be exhausted. Make sure a trusted friend or family member knows who's taking the cards and gifts home safely.

3. Bring comfortable shoes.
Those wedding shoes look amazing... until you've been standing in them for six hours. Your feet will thank you later!

4. Have an emergency kit.
Safety pins, stain remover, tissues, pain reliever, mints, fashion tape, and a few Band-Aids can save the day more often than you'd think.

5. Take a few private moments together.
The day goes by in a blur! Step away for five minutes, just the two of you, to soak it all in. Those quiet moments often become the memories you treasure most.

Lastly, "Married Couples": What would you add to this list? What's something you forgot? Or almost forgot on your wedding day?

Your wedding day will be one of the most exciting days of your life! It's filled with anticipation, joy, laughter... and if we're being honest, a little stress.

Every bride dreams of the perfect day but here's something I've learned. No matter how carefully you plan, some things may not go as planned. The flowers may not be what you expected, the weather may not cooperate, someone may forget something…and that's okay.

The memories that last aren't built on perfection, they're built on love.

Here's a couple of tips on how to emotionally prepare during the week leading up to your wedding:

* Accept that perfection isn't the goal, marrying your best friend is.

*Schedule a few quiet moments each day to pray, reflect, journal, or simply breathe.

Keep an eye out for more tips coming your way soon!

Take a moment to imagine your future marriage, not just your wedding day. The ceremony lasts minutes but the marriage is meant to last a lifetime.

The Bride

Every wedding tells a beautiful story, and at the heart of that story is the bride.

She represents hope, love, commitment, and the beginning of a new chapter. While every guest, family member, and vendor plays an important role, the bride is the one whose journey has led to this unforgettable moment.

A wedding is more than a celebration of beautiful details—it's a celebration of a woman choosing love, embracing a shared future, and stepping confidently into a new season of life.

May every bride feel seen, celebrated, and cherished, not just for how she looks, but for the love, strength, and grace she brings to one of life's most meaningful milestones.

Because every bride deserves to feel as extraordinary as the love she's celebrating.

Taylor & Parker……
Where do I even begin???
This precious couple had the Wedding of their Dreams despite a devastating house fire 3 months before their Big Day. They took the stress on like champs & carried on! (They still haven’t moved back in their home)
It didn’t matter that it rained on June 13th…..They’ve been through worse.
I love & adore this family.
I also had the privilege of coordinating the Brides brothers (Joey & Maggie) wedding a few years ago & it was so good being with them again.
Congrats Taylor & Parker!
