What a year and what a team! Who can say they pulled off 3rd place in the world with kids cooking on their team!!
HUGE shout out to for being our fireman!

Then the kids! Holy crap they wanted to do so much and nailed it! and Miles O’Guin (too young for insta) for wanting to learn more and taking the time to learn.

and then to my master of cheffing……. he is the and we have learned so much from him.

Sometimes the best decisions are the ones made last minute. We made a quick call to head to the SCA competition in Collierville, TN with one goal in mind—secure Brandon an Ancillary Golden Ticket.

He jumped into three categories: Anything Arbos Cheese Dip, Appetizer, and Grilled Cheese. And that last-minute decision paid off in a big way.

Brandon heard his number called three times and walked away with his Ancillary Golden Ticket thanks to a pass-down from his 4th Place Appetizer turn-in.

Results:
10th Place – Anything Arbos Cheese Dip
4th Place – Appetizer
4th Place – Grilled Cheese

Proud is an understatement. Now to take the rest of the year off from Competitions to spend time with family and prepare for the ride of 2026!!

Ain’t It The Life had the honor of representing Team B&B Charcoal at The Open Fire Meat Up in Hondo, TX — and WOW, what an event it was!

Some of the best open fire cooks in the world came together, with 26 teams from 22 different countries and 6 incredible young pitmasters showing off their skills in the kids division.

It was hot, but the fires were hotter! The crowd came hungry — with lines stretching over half a mile long and each team serving up 800–1000 samples of smoky, live-fire goodness. The energy, the food, the people — all absolutely incredible.

Huge thank you to Duraflame for letting us represent you and , our go-to fuel for keeping the fire just right. We hope we made you proud!

Now it’s time to head home for some much-needed rest before the next adventure.

We are leaving on a jet plane (cue song notes)

What an incredible trip. The hospitality in Korea was truly unmatched and we are so grateful for every moment, every person we met, and every experience we were welcomed into. This journey has been one we will never forget.

We spent our final morning exploring a stunning museum filled with architecture and art that stopped us in our tracks. Beautiful is an understatement.

Now we are tired, full-hearted, and ready to touch back down in the USA for a quick recharge before heading out again for the on Wednesday. Adventure continues, and we cannot wait.

Day 3 at the Hong Seong Global BBQ Festival did not disappoint. The crowd was truly epic, with more than 200,000 people in attendance and over 1,200 samples served. The enthusiasm, support, and curiosity from everyone who stopped by will be something we never forget.

We exchanged so many gifts with the locals today and continue to be blown away by the hospitality and generosity here. And the food scene in South Korea is on another level. From the best McDonald’s I have ever had to Korean fried chicken that delivers pure flavor and crunch in every bite, every meal has been incredible.

This adventure and partnership with South Korea has been nothing short of mind blowing, inspiring, and unforgettable.

Tomorrow we take a little time to explore before heading home. We will be visiting the Memorial Hall of the House of Goam Lee Ungno, followed by a farewell luncheon, and then it is wheels up back to the States.

Next stop: the in Hondo, Texas. The fire keeps burning and the journey continues.
