A native Memphian, Donald E. Walker Jr. is a graduate of Hillcrest High School. He also has a degree in Christian Education from International College of Ministry. He accepted Christ at seven years old at Zion Hill Baptist Church where his father served as senior pastor. He accepted his calling to ministry at the age of nine years old, preached his first sermon at eleven, and by the age of 13 began coordinating youth revivals. Pastor Walker presently serves as Senior Pastor of Rock Nation with the guidance of Bishop Thomas Jackson.
He initially served as youth pastor of The Rock and coordinated various events for the church. Bishop Wesley Arije appointed Pastor Walker in April of 2012 as Senior Pastor. He has been a vital part of the reorganization and revitalization of the church after a transition. Although he is a man of many talents that include songwriter, artist, and entrepreneur, Pastoring is his true calling in ministry.
Pastor Walker’s vision for ministry is to bridge the gap between generations. He promotes biblical principles and values with a fresh and innovating style that appeals to diverse people. Pastor believes that teaching authentic relationship with God through the exercising of faith will help transform the lives of all people allowingthem complete access to the kingdom of heaven and the divine inheritance promised to us by our heavenly Father. With the love of God and the truth of his word, Pastor’s mission is to build a family of kingdom citizens that create spiritual, economic, physical, and social health united in cultures, through generations.
