It was a pleasure and honor to spend the weekend with these two ladies. The bride on the left, Sarah was a student of mine and my neighbor back when she was in middle school, and it has been a delight to watch her evolve into this incredible, intelligent, funny, creative woman. To see her in this gown took my breath away.
The beautifully suited bride (sporting hand-painted botanical art) on the right, Leigh, is a brilliant, even-keeled, accomplished biomedical goddess. She is a perfect energetic balance for Sarah, and makes everyone around her feel warm and secure.
I was asked to officiate and I could not say no to these very important brides. Their vows were intentional, inclusive, and meaningful- sharing promises as well as memories and feelings.
This part of Virginia is absolutely idyllic like something out of a Hallmark movie, and the people are just as lovely. The woodsy ceremony venue and folks at Stone Manor Boutique Inn
set the stage for a romantic, family-filled weekend together.
