Introducing Poetic Pairs, a poem prompt game for wordsmiths!

Each card has a line of poetry. Shuffle well and pick two random cards. One becomes your first line, the other becomes your last line, and it’s up to you to fill in the rest.

This is a perfect writing warm-up and a great game to play with world-loving friends.

And yes—you can publish what you write with these cards!

This concept has existed for a long time and is not my own, but this deck contains 104 individual, unique poem lines I created just for you!

I am heartbroken like all of you are. This was completely unexpected and feels like the worst case scenario. But the birds are still singing, and the world did not end, even though it feels like it did.

We’re all still here, fighting and learning and loving and living, and as long as you keep doing that, we’ll be okay.

We’ve been here before and we triumphed. The birds will still sing.

As a q***r woman, my rights and safety are on the ballot. Vote HARRIS WALZ. If you’re in Florida, vote YES ON 4.

Actions speak louder than words. If you claim to support q***r people like me, or BIPOC, immigrants, people with uteruses… then you will vote blue in this election. To do otherwise is an act of violence.
