Love Lives On! Some of country and pop music’s biggest talent and members of our TAPS Family came together to embark on a one-of-a-kind album honoring our fallen heroes. With the help of Nashville songwriters and world-class producers, surviving relatives and friends shared their stories of love and loss through lyrics, which were set to music and recorded by award-winning artists. The forthcoming album is the result of their soul bearing and preserves the legacy of their loved ones. Set for release this Memorial Day 2020, the album features songs performed by:

Meet Brian and Beth Martin, the surviving father and sister of Army Specialist Wyatt Joseph Martin. Wyatt lost his life in support of Operation Enduring Freedom on December 12, 2014.

The Martin's came to Nashville, Tennessee in July to honor Wyatt by collaborating with singer/songwriters @LarryGatlin and @pauloverstreet.

Together they created a masterpiece that will tell Wyatt's story and continue to carry his memory forward.

As a surviving sibling whose older brother died in combat, songwriter Brett Jones understands the pain of losing someone suddenly and too soon. “When I picked up a guitar, immediately it helped me through those episodes when I would get in a funk about my brother,” Brett said.

This weekend, Brett brought 50 Epiphone Acoustic Guitars from Nashville to the TAPS National Military Survivor Seminar in Arlington, Virginia, to share his love of music, and his passion for the guitar in particular, with TAPS kids.

He taught a group of young people attending the TAPS Good Grief Camp how to play two chords. From those two chords, he said, they can improvise and play thousands of songs. Having a creative outlet to express his feelings saved his life, he said. And he wants to give surviving children that outlet too.

TAPS is so grateful for Brett's support and this beautiful and inspiring gift to our young people.
