continues. We're telling stories about women in the industry and the impact they've made.
Our host SofiaAltuna tells us how she got started with Google:
"I’ve always been passionate about making technology accessible and easy to adopt for more people, and voice allows that. Speaking comes naturally to humans, so voice makes it simple for people from all parts of the world, from all ages and genders to use this technology. Prior to working on Google Assistant, I was involved with other Conversational AI projects at Google.
Since joining the Google Assistant team three years ago, I've worked across multiple product features globally and with many partners.
This has given me a broad understanding of the voice tech ecosystem, the possibilities and challenges across the platforms, and the opportunities for brands and users."

"Voice tech adoption has accelerated as the coronavirus pandemic makes everyone touchy about how sanitary it is to poke buttons and screens. But the reality is the 2020s were poised to be the decade of voice technology well before the crisis hit."
"The voice and speech recognition market is expected to grow at a 17.2% compound annualized rate to reach $26.8 billion by 2025. Meanwhile, AI — the technology that underpins voice, and in many respects parallels its true potential — is estimated to add $5.8 trillion in value annually."
