We are so excited to finally share the flyer for the 1st Annual Sky’s the Limit Memorial Barrel Race 💛🩶
Please get April 18th on your calendars and plan to join us at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Lawrence, KS for a day we’ve poured our hearts into.
✨ Over $5,000 added money
✨ 20 champion buckles
✨ Awards to the Top 4 in every division
Divisions include
• Open 5D
• Youth 4D
• P*ewee 3D
• Futurity 3D
• Derby 3D
• Rising Star straight
• Target Time buckle
This race means more to us than we can put into words, and we are incredibly thankful for the overwhelming support already shown. From our sponsors, donors, vendors, and friends none of this would be possible without you.
Whether you’re coming to run, cheer, shop vendors, or just spend the day with us, we hope you’ll be part of something special. We can’t wait to see everyone and honor Sky in the best way we know how.

Our Mock NFR Barrel Race is canceled due to the EHV outbreak.

Because we don’t know how long this outbreak is going to last, we are not going to reschedule at this time. We might revisit the idea after the holidays if there are any available dates in early 2026.

We will contact sponsors and see if they want to roll their sponsorship over to the 2026 show or a refund. I was able to put the buckle older on hold for now.

Mock NFR Merch - it’s all made and ready to be picked up. I’ll pick it up from Factory 233 and see who all needs their items mailed or I can also meet up with people.

Thank you all for understanding that we want the competitors safety to be our priority!

🔔 ENTRIES OPEN TODAY, NOV 14TH AT 12:00PM (NOON) FOR THE 8TH ANNUAL $3500 ADDED MOCK NFR BARREL RACE!

💰 PAYMENT - All entries will be paid for ON SITE. CASH ONLY.
⏱️ EARLY DRAW OPTION FOR $5.00 - Limited to 50 in each session. Available under orange 'extra fees' tab in SGP.
🐴 EXHIBITIONS & RIDE SESSIONS - These are bought ON SITE and VERY LIMITED. Show office opens at 8:00am on Saturday. Limited to 2 Ride Sessions & 3 Exhibitions per person in line.
4 Ride Sessions (40 riders total) & 60 morning & 20 afternoon exhibitions available.
🎰 OPEN & YOUTH 2D HIGH ROLLER SIDEPOTS - Buckles and Big Checks for 1st in each D of the high roller sidepots. $1000 Open 2D & $500 Added Youth 2D. Unlimited entries, 1/2 second splits.
🐴 STALLS/RV SPOTS - We are not taking reservations for these on SGP this year as this is a one-day show. We do not expect to sell many stalls/rv spots so they will be bought on-site. Stalls/$40 ea & RV Spot/$25 per night. Shavings $9/bag if you don't bring your own. Stalls/RV spots available Friday 11/21 from 7pm-10pm.
🐎 RACE FORMAT - This is ONE BARREL RACE over TWO sessions. Only ONE payout at the very end of the event (end of session #2). You can enter the SAME horse in BOTH sessions for two chances at payout & target time buckle!
🏆 AWARDS - We have 18 Buckles for this event! 4 Open, 4 Youth, 4 Senior, 2 Open High Roller, 2 Youth High Roller, 1 P*e Wee & 1 Target Time! 2 Rope Nose Mule Tape Halters for Futurity/Maturity Champions sponsored by Paityn Jahay!
🤝🏻 CO-SANCTIONS - Double Qualifier Bonus Race Finals, & Double Point Kansas Central 4D approved! (Not able to be BBR Approved due to Chickasha, OK and Lawrence, KS Shows the same day)
🍔 CONCESSIONS - Will be open for a majority of the event! Will get exact times as we get closer.
📸 📹 PHOTOGRAPHER/VIDEOGRAPHER - Jeff Frazell Photography & MB Equine Videos will be there!
🛍️ VENDORS - Contact Breah at (620) 245-7552 if you want to set up! We've got a few signed up so far.
👕 MOCK NFR APPAREL - Pre-ordered apparel will be available when the show office opens opens at 8:00am. There is no on-site apparel for purchasing.
