EQ is a Buenos Aires-based electronic duo made up of musicians and creatives (E) Laura Ferreira and (Q) qiri blending heavy bass, scratchy synths, and forward-thinking viral visuals; they’ve crafted a bold sound. Their debut single “Boytoy” took the internet by storm and became a sensation overnight, and now featured on their debut EP ‘EQ’, the girls are building a worldwide cult following.

Across their first years of career, oscillating between fashion subculture, collaboration tracks with global artists like Shygirl, CFCF, Milkfish (aka underscores), umru, Nick León, Isabella Lovestory and Babymorocco, and standout live performances, including Lollapalooza Argentina (2025), Skrillex Side-Show curated by him, the inaugural edition of CONTRA by Skrillex in Berlin (2026), a tour spanning ten European countries, and dates across Australia.

debit is a composer, producer, and performer whose work spans avant-garde experimentation, global club mutations, and high-impact sound design. Her practice bridges high-concept composition, site-specific art, and visceral club performance, uniting cultural depth with bold sonic experimentation in ways few artists can.

Since 2017, she has been a pioneering force in the exportation and recontextualization of Latin American club music, shaping its global reception well before it became a marketable trend. At a time when the sound was still emerging from underground spaces, she pushed it into dialogue with techno, global bass, and experimental electronics, building a blueprint for cross-cultural club innovation that resisted clichés and challenged the global scene’s sonic hierarchy.

On the dance floor, Debit’s DJ sets blend Latin-inspired percussive rhythms (guaracha, tribal, raptor house, dembow, reggaeton, and Brazilian funk) with techno and bass-heavy grooves. Her fast-cut mixing style, grounded in advanced computer synthesis, creates sets that are as body-moving as they are culturally transformative, connecting underground traditions to forward-looking sound. Her new record Potpourri on n_a_a_f_i pushes her dancefloor language forward, while 2025’s Desaceleradas on turned to cumbia rebajada - the half-speed Monterrey sound of Sonido Dueñez - re-voicing his tapes through ARP 2600, accordion and granular processing.

Nick León kills it every fu***ng time! A few peeps were saying this is one of their top 5 favorite T.I. sets of all time, and we couldn’t agree more. He had us throwing ass to everything from dancehall to doble paso for 4 hours straight. We gotta have him back for a trance night. Shout out to all the heads that helped make this an unforgettable night and to the folks that drove down from Houston, Austin, and San Antonio.

You asked for it; you got it! Another 4-hour DJ set by a true maestro will be taking place on July 18th at the Historic Cine El Rey. This time we’re featuring the one and only Nick León.

Nick León’s dystopian club music samples the sounds of Florida’s diverse ecosystems, but his style has varied fearlessly along the way. After making his start in the South Florida Soundcloud rap scene at a young age, Nick gravitated early towards the Latin sounds coming out of Puerto Rico and Colombia for his own work. Since this origin, Nick has released his highly acclaimed Xtasis EP on TraTraTrax, which featured DJ Babatr in 2022, and has claimed production credits from genre-defying artists like Rosalía, Tokischa, Oklou, Isabella Lovestory, Shygirl/Six S*x and Namasenda. His 2024 TraTraTrax-released collaboration with Erika De Casier, “Bikini”, has been heralded as one of, if not, the best tracks of 2025 by outlets such as Pitchfork, The Guardian, Crack and Resident Advisor. Make sure to also check out his critically acclaimed debut album “A Tropical Entropy” today!

She had us dancing, sweating, and quivering for more during her Texas debut. We are honored to release her mix on SoundCloud today so we can relive the experience for decades to come. Link in bio.
