With multiple years of experience in the wedding industry and a background in both art and interior design I love helping couples imagine, create, and execute their dream wedding. I am a very passionate, artistic, outgoing, goal oriented, individual who loves seeing all the little details come together.

4 years ago today, we promised each other forever beneath a theme that couldn’t have fit us more perfectly — “love you to the moon and back.” 🌙

And somehow, after all these years, I still love you even more than I did standing at the end of that aisle.

As a wedding planner, I get to witness hundreds of love stories. I see beautiful vows, emotional first looks, packed dance floors, and all the little moments in between. But getting to experience it myself with you will always be one of the greatest honors of my life.

Because now I understand weddings in an entirely different way.

Not just as timelines, flowers, music, or details — but as the beginning of a marriage. A home. A safe place. A person you choose over and over again long after the wedding day is over.

Four years later, you are still my calm in chaos, my biggest supporter, my best friend, and the person I want beside me through every season of life.

Hi, I’m Dusti — the heart behind Indigo Moon Events. 🌙

The name of my business didn’t come from a branding brainstorm or trend forecast. It came from something much more personal.

Growing up, my mom and I always said “I love you to the moon and back.” It was one of those phrases that stayed with me through every chapter of life.

Years later, my husband and I say the very same words to each other.

So when I began dreaming about a name for my wedding business, my mind kept returning to the moon — and to the kind of love weddings celebrate.

The kind that feels rare.
The kind that feels magical.
The kind that feels like it only happens once in a blue moon.

But Blue Moon didn’t quite feel right.

That’s when Indigo came into the picture, a color that felt more artistic, moody, and tied to design.

Because before the wedding industry, my world was art.

I attended an art magnet middle and high school, later became an art teacher, and spent years immersed in creativity.

I was the kid filling sketchbooks with ball gowns, drawing imaginary rooms, and cutting out miniature furniture so I could move pieces around until the layout felt just right.

Design has always been second nature to me.

But there’s another side of my story that shaped me just as much.

Before weddings… there was softball.

I spent 16+ years playing, eventually becoming a Division I collegiate softball player.

Sports taught me how to stay calm under pressure, problem solve quickly, lead a team, and navigate challenges with resilience.

It may seem like an unusual combination.

Artist.
Athlete.
Designer.
Planner.

But those pieces are exactly what shaped the way I approach weddings today.

A love for design.
A calm presence in high-pressure moments.
And a belief that every celebration deserves thoughtful intention.

And that’s exactly what Indigo Moon Events was created for.
