***Yuba-Sutter Fireworks Show Rescheduled to Saturday, July 5th***
In light of the recent tragic incident involving the original fireworks provider, the Yuba-Sutter Fireworks Show—originally scheduled for July 4th—has been rescheduled to Saturday, July 5th at Beckwourth Riverfront Park in Marysville.
The fireworks display will begin between 9:30 and 9:45 p.m. on July 5th. Food vendors will be set up and ready to serve by 6pm.
This decision was made after thoughtful discussion and out of respect for those impacted by the explosion in Yolo County. Our hearts remain with the community of Esparto, the County of Yolo, those harmed, their families, and all those affected by this heartbreaking event.
We understand the significance of this annual tradition to our community and have worked carefully to identify a path forward that honors both the spirit of Independence Day and the need for healing. With the support of a new provider, Pyro Spectaculars, we are able to move forward with a modified celebration.
The City of Marysville and Sutter County invite community members to gather for a respectful and safe evening along the Feather River. Families are encouraged to arrive early, bring a blanket or lawn chairs, and enjoy the park prior to the show.
We thank our residents for their understanding, compassion, and patience as we navigate this difficult time together. While the date has changed, our commitment to community unity, reflection, and celebration remains unchanged.
