Since I’ve been asked for an update to this love story… here it is. 🤍

A few days ago, I shared the story of Liz + Ty — two people I photographed at a wedding almost two years ago when she was a bridesmaid and he was a groomsman.

They hit it off that night, and without realizing it, I happened to capture a little piece of the beginning of their story.

Well… apparently a whole lot of y’all got invested. 😂
So for everyone asking how the wedding went:

They got married. And it was beautiful.
Nearly two years ago, they were standing beside someone else on their wedding day.

This time, they were standing across from each other.
And somehow, I got lucky enough to be behind the camera for both.

There are a lot of things I love about being a wedding photographer, but this is one I’ll remember for a long time.

Nearly two years ago, I shot a wedding in Greenfield and in an off moment captured a picture of a bridesmaid and a groomsmen hitting it off for the first time. I didn’t know when I snapped this photo that I was capturing the beginning of another love story. Today, I'm on my way to shoot their wedding! Such a full circle moment for this photographer. Two things stuck out to me at Robert and Erin’s beautiful Nashville wedding this weekend: how present they were, and how joyful they were.

Whoever was standing in front of them seemed to have their full attention. No looking over shoulders. No rushing toward whatever was next. They listened... and laughed... and hugged. They made people feel like, for those few minutes, there was nowhere else they would rather be.

And their joy is completely and utterly infectious. You can't help but smile, because their joy spills out everywhere they go! We laughed the entire day.

But this weekend was a good reminder that maybe I need to listen to my own advice sometimes, too. To put the camera down for a second. To slow down. To be present. To enjoy the people in front of me. Because these days go by quickly for me, too.

And Robert and Erin’s was one worth soaking in.

Spending time with Tyler and Belle always leaves us grateful.

Over the last year, Bailee and I have come to cherish their friendship, so being asked to document this chapter before they become husband and wife was a real honor.

We had the pleasure of capturing a lot of special moments for the Stone/Webb/Perry families in a single photoshoot. Erin and Christian were preparing to welcome little Miss Anna-Ruth to their home, while Lillie and Wayne were announcing to their family that they are expecting! It was a sweet moment to document, and I am thankful for James and Jennifer for giving me the opportunity to catch up with their family!
