On Our Shelves | Jeffe Boats

What if the hero of an espionage thriller didn’t fit the typical mold?

Meet Jeffe Boats, author of the Thomas Vale series—technological and espionage thrillers that trade over-the-top action heroes for something a little more real.

Jeffe writes about extraordinary people in extraordinary situations: characters from diverse backgrounds using their strengths, overcoming their disadvantages, and ultimately trying to find their place in a world that doesn’t always fit.

At the center of the series is Thomas Vale, an autistic action hero with an academic background who brings a different kind of perspective to the spy-thriller genre. Jeffe’s goal is realism, heart, authentic representation—and, of course, plenty of espionage and suspense along the way.

His stories feature real-world-inspired locations, complex characters, and enough intrigue for fans of a good spy novel to sink their teeth into.

Be sure to stop by Jeffe’s table at Pints & Pages this Sunday, August 16 at Dark Horse Brewing Co. Meet the author, learn more about the Thomas Vale series, and discover a thriller that does things a little differently.

On Our Shelves | Freshwater Fiction

What if the bookstore came to you?

Meet Freshwater Fiction, a mobile bookstore bringing bestselling fiction and bookish finds to readers throughout Southwest Michigan—and rolling into Pints & Pages this Sunday!

Their shelves will be stocked and ready for browsing, whether you’re hunting for a specific title, looking for your next five-star read, or fully prepared to let your mood choose your next book.

We love that Freshwater Fiction is taking the magic of an independent bookstore on the road and creating opportunities for readers to discover new stories right in their own communities. It feels like a perfect fit for everything Pints & Pages is about.

Be sure to stop by, browse the shelves, and show them some love at Pints & Pages this Sunday, August 16 at Dark Horse Brewing Co.

Fair warning: your TBR probably isn’t leaving the same size it came.

Every story has a beginning. Thanks for being part of ours.
