Marlborough Arts Center

Marlborough Arts Center Art and culture exhibits, monthly 4th Friday music series, fine art and craft classes, artist workshops, winter holiday concerts and performances, and more.

The mission of the Marlborough Arts Center is to foster creativity, appreciation, and enjoyment of fine arts, performing arts, fine crafts and regional history through educational programs, exhibitions and performances. When an art show is running typically it's open Saturdays & Sundays 1-4pm. For the monthly 4th Friday events 7:00 - 9:30pm. All art exhibits are free. Our monthly 4th Friday events are $15/person, refreshments are available for purchase, and you can bring your own wine & nibbles. We are not able to take reservations for our 4th Friday @ the Arts Café musical/drama evenings but we suggest you plan to come early when the doors open so as to choose your own seats, view the art, or buy refreshments and relax before the shows. Usually the doors open at 7:00 p.m. with concerts starting at 7:30 p.m. Please be sure to check the times in our announcements on this website and in all the news media.

***It's Spotlight Saturday*** at the MAC 🎨

Our Spotlight shines brightly on Marlborough Arts Center member Sherry Pratt-Totten who has reason to celebrate!

The outstanding "Helebore," has been accepted into the prestigious Academic Artists Association’s 76th Annual National Exhibition of Traditional Realism!

In addition, her stunning piece 🔥, "Fallen Oak Leaves," has been accepted to the Connecticut Pastel Society "Renaissance in Pastel" show opening Nov 13th at Lyme Art Association, Old Lyme CT.

It also won Peoples Choice award for 3rd place during Marlborough Arts Center's Spring Members' Art Show. 🌷

Join us Friday, September 25th at 7:30 PM for Lara Herscovitch performing at the Marlborough Arts Center at 231 North Main Street, Marlborough, CT.

The Marlborough Arts Center is thrilled to welcome Lara Herscovitch, an acclaimed singer-songwriter, poet, and former Connecticut State Troubadour.

A mainstay of the New England folk scene, Herscovitch blends masterful contemporary folk with touches of blues, pop, and jazz. The Boston Globe praises her "luminous voice and a buoyant stage presence," highlighting her big-hearted lyrics that capture the depth of the human experience.

What makes Herscovitch’s music uniquely powerful is her background. Holding a Master of Social Work, she spent decades working in global humanitarian aid and justice system reform. This deep intellect and empathy shine through her authentic, witty, and uplifting storytelling. Whether performing solo or with her band, The Highway Philosophers, she delivers a deeply moving experience centered on hope, resilience, and human connection.

Kala Farnham crafts folk songs with roots and wings, weaving age-old truths into modern grooves. As winner of the 18th Connecticut State Troubadour and Rose Garden Performing Songwriter Contest, she invites listeners into conversation with intimate performances that feel like a fireside gathering.

With soul-stirring vocals and mystical folk harp, piano, and guitar, she draws audiences into a transcendent journey—one that lingers long after the final note fades.

Flute Choir Flute Loops & Ala Carte will perform at the Marlborough Arts Center, on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 7:30 PM.

The Marlborough Arts Center is excited to announce the 4th Friday Arts Cafe concert with Flute Loops & Ala Carte. Flute Loops is a Connecticut-based adult flute choir founded by flutist Erin Vivero.
The group is known for their humorous, highly theatrical and educational performances. Their performances have included showcases at the National Flute Convention in Chicago and San Antonio as well as the National Anthem at the Hartford Yard Goats. The concert also include a quartet of Erin and friends that include piano, bass and drums.
