The Marlborough Arts Center is pleased to announce Linda Gotta’s solo art exhibit at the Marlborough Town Hall. Linda’s paintings will be displayed through July, and is open to the public during the Town Hall business hours:

Mon, Wed, Thurs, 8 AM - 4:30 PM
Tuesday 8 AM - 7 PM
Fridays from 8 AM to Noon

Several of Linda’s paintings are also on exhibit at the Marlborough Arts Center Saturdays and Sundays 1-4 PM, through the end of May.

Linda Gotta’s artistic journey has been significantly influenced by her upbringing in a creative family. Her mother was an artist, and her father was a builder. For the past two and a half decades, Linda has dedicated her life to the art of pastel painting, although she has also explored working in watercolor and acrylic.

Linda’s artistic compositions often feature landscapes of farms, beaches, and woodlands, as well as intimate views of flowers, animals, and birds. Her mastery of color and light is evident in her use of vibrant hues with soft, impressionistic edges. Light and shadow play a pivotal role in her compositions, adding depth and dimension to her works. Her work has garnered recognition and accolades, including the prestigious “Best in Show” award from the Connecticut Pastel Society for her painting titled “On the Ridge”, and “Best Floral” award from the SCAA members’ show for her work titled “Meadow.”

Linda’s artistic achievements extend beyond individual recognition. She is particularly proud of being selected for the Spring 2020 Pastel Journal magazine’s “Pastel 100” list for her abstract painting titled “Timber.”

The Marlborough Arts Center presents three-month solo exhibitions for member artists in the Marlborough Town Hall’s hallway. For inquiries regarding Linda’s paintings, please contact Barbara Lazzari in the Town Hall’s Tax Collector’s Office or call the Marlborough Arts Center at 860-467-6353 or email [email protected].
