Well the time has come and I have to let it be known. Wheelie's will be leaving and Hall's Skateland will be coming back. April 30 will be our last night at the rink.
This news brings an unimaginable amout of sadness to us. Wheelie's has been skating for over 3 years and it is gonna hurt to pack our things and go. I really don't know what to say and not sure anything can be said to make it easier on us or the friends, family and kids that have been there with us making Wheelie's what it is. We came into the rink with intentions of making it a clean safe family friendly fun center for kids and adults of all ages to have a place to enjoy right here in our own wonderful community and that is exactly what we did. It has been 3 of the greatest most memorable years of our lives. We, the entire skating community at Wheelie's has become family and that will be missed the most. We have met new people from our town, our county, neighboring communities and even out of state folks that came to enjoy the great environment at Wheelie's. It has been a great blessing to have met each and every one of you.
Kids, this is for you - you may never know or understand the love that Donna, myself and the entire Wheelie's staff has for you. You have touched all of our lives and have made us better adults, more understanding and well just PROUD. You each hold a special place in our hearts. We really couldn't have done this without you. So many of you stepped up and volunteered to paint, work skates, run concessions or the DJ booth along with so many other great things. You took ownership in Wheelie's and helped make it great. We never worried about you stealing from us, lieing on us or causing us unneeded trouble. You rose to our high standards that we set for the way you were to act not only at the rink but also in your everyday life. You will never know all the compliments we got from teachers, coaches, parents and friends about how so many of you have changed. Whether it was your manners, something you did for someone else or just a comment that you made. You grew to be better and that was awesome to hear from your peers.
Once a Wheelie Kid, always a Wheelie kid.
We want you all to know that this is not goodbye. We will see you again and again and again. We will always be here for you each and every one. Please know that if you ever need us we are just a phone call or message away. We will always be the same Wheelie family that we have been and nothing can take that away. I have so much more I want to say but I will leave it for later. We have 2 more weekends to see you all. We are also working on an ALL NIGHT SKATE for the 29th. We love you all and will see you soon.
Hall's Skateland has said they will keep the same hours and continue to be open. If you need to book a party, you can reach Prescilla at 780-7419.
