A bright retirement arrangement to brighten yet another dreary, rainy day. This is the first time I have used one of the roses from my new bushes in an arrangement. The bushes are still establishing and blooms are small and more infrequent, however this pretty little bloom was the perfect size and color to accent this pink ombre arrangement. 💗 I have been focused on using more local flowers whenever possible and you can’t get more local than that! Here are a few more of Green House’s first rose blooms. 🌼

Meet my new favorite rose, Princess Holly’s Hope, a Japanese rose introduced in 2024 for Holly Chapple. I have been drooling over photos of this rose for months and was finally able to work with some. They are even more stunning than I imagined and have great vase life, especially for a garden rose, as garden roses sometimes have shorter vase life. I played around with some foliage from the yard and different vases. They are beautiful in arrangements or all on their own. Can’t wait to start using these for events and special arrangements, you will LOVE them and they smell incredible too!

Sympathy flower delivery from today. Small gestures can mean so much to those you care about. Studies show being around flowers releases serotonin in the brain and reduces emotional and physical stress, so even more than the gesture itself, it’s scientifically proven that flowers really do bring joy and comfort. Not surprising that nature has this effect. Apparently being around and touching dirt has the same effect on us….but don’t give dirt as a gift.
