My event superpower? Making it look easy.

Iā€™ve never really been comfortable saying that out loud.

I donā€™t love to toot my own horn. But after a lot of introspection at NACE Experience, I realized something:

Maybe I should own it.

Because my clients tell me this all the time.

And hereā€™s the thingā€¦

Making it look easy doesnā€™t mean it is easy. šŸ˜‚

Behind the scenes?
There may be tears.
There may be curse words.
There may be a whole lot of internal frustration.
There is DEFINITELY some mental gymnastics happening.

Because events are unpredictable. Things go wrong. Plans change. People panic. And perfection? It doesnā€™t exist.

But after 20+ years in this industry, Iā€™ve learned that my job isnā€™t to make sure nothing goes wrong.

My job is to make sure you donā€™t feel the weight of it when it does.

Iā€™ll pivot.
Iā€™ll problem-solve.
Iā€™ll figure it out.
Iā€™ll keep things moving.

And while Iā€™m doing it?

Iā€™ll smile.

Because when my client looks at me, I want them to think:

ā€œSheā€™s got this.ā€

Even if internally Iā€™m thinking:

ā€œOhhhh, this is going to be interesting.ā€ šŸ˜‚

So yeahā€¦

Iā€™m finally owning it.

Making chaos look calm might just be my superpower. āœØ

Nowā€¦ wait until you see me setting up 30-lb LED marquees.

Letā€™s just say I donā€™t always make THAT look easy. šŸ˜‚šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

Some superpowers have limits.
