Prince William Committee of 100 - PW C100

What a successful evening of community engagement! 🇺🇸

Last night, October 15, the Prince William Committee of 100 and the League of Women Voters of the Prince William and Fauquier Area welcomed Congressman Suhas Subramanyam and Dave Beckwith for our Virginia’s 10th Congressional District Candidate Forum.

The questions prepared by PWC100 and the League of Women Voters encouraged fair, open discussion and gave both candidates an equal opportunity to share their perspectives. Both candidates expressed appreciation for our process and the forum—a meaningful recognition of our commitment to nonpartisan voter education.

Thank you to moderator Bruce Potter for guiding the conversation and to both candidates for participating and answering questions on issues important to our community.

As President, I am especially grateful to my incredible PWC100 team: Denny Daugherty, Cynthia Chambliss, Kera Wooten, Bel O’Neil, Tony Guifre, Martha Hendley, and the many other members and volunteers who helped prepare, showed up, and supported this event. Your time, dedication, and teamwork made this evening possible! 💙

Thank you to our League partners and everyone who attended. Seeing our community come together to listen, learn, and become better informed is exactly why we do this work.

What an amazing night we had at Prince William C100 forum on Virginia Restoration of Felon Voting Rights Amendment. The panelist: Geary Higgins former member of Va. House of Delegates, Tracey Lenox- Chief Public Defender, Paul Milde former Member of Va. House of Delegates and sitting in for Senator Scott Surovell was Senator Kennan Srinivasan. And they all came with excellent insight. I was very honored to be there listening from both stand points. Our moderator: Jill Palermo- Managing Editor Prince William Times did an awesome job.

Join PWC100 this Thursday for an important conversation about Virginia’s voting rights.

On November 3, Virginia voters will consider Question 3, a proposed constitutional amendment that would change how voting rights are restored after a felony conviction and how voting restrictions based on incapacity are determined.

Join us at the Arbor Terrace, Prince William Commons, as a panel of experts partake in an informative, nonpartisan discussion exploring what Question 3 would change and what it could mean for Virginia.

One thing we've earned through years of community involvement is that the best plans are shaped by the people who actually use the services.

The City of Manassas Parks, Culture & Recreation has shared its Master Plan survey, and we hope you'll take a few minutes to participate. This is your chance to help influence future investments in parks, trails, cultural programs, recreation opportunities, and community spaces.

A few minutes today can help guide decisions that impact Manassas City and our region for years to come.
