Starting a harvest day with a mile long to do list. And it’s only growing from here (I guess, pun intended)
This weekend you’ll find our greens delivered first thing Saturday morn then from 10am-1pm
We’re cutting gorgeous spinach, large and in charge wintersweet kale, kwisp af butter lettuce mix and sweet like candy winter carrots. Might even be the last week for carrots so don’t hesitate to stock right up.
Some new bodacious varieties of fancy daffodils are showing up so if you come early to market you might snag a bunch. But we’ve got plenty of tulips this week too.
After market Caleb and I are headed to .brooklin to present a slide deck on our experience with winter farming, part three of a farmer talk series put on by the Brooklin Food Corps. This won’t be an Eliot Coleman talk, so while our experience has obviously heavily been influenced by the legend, we are gabbing about what has worked for us, how we’ve failed, what the infrastructure on this farm has enabled us to grow and all the details in between. Ideal for us would be to have it more of a conversation than a presentation cuz well, we awkward, I think, so come and shoot the s**t with us and make us translate our 98’ greenhouse trials to your lil winter garden if that’s something that excites ya.
Cheers & thanks for being here we luv ya!!
